Interscope Records And 50 Cent Arguing
There have already been a lot of arguments between hip hop star and rapper 50 Cent and his record label, Interscope Records, and now 50 Cent is threatening his label with the release of another mix-tape and leaving the label to sign with another record company. In a series of Tweets on Twitter, the lauded music loops and rapping superstar said that he works harder than everyone else in hip hop and that he needs a record deal pronto.
Part of his Tweets included the information that he had received over three million visits to his other auditory efforts and highlights a year of arguments between 50 and Interscope over a delay in the release of his fifth album which was supposed to have been in stores at the end of December. The rapper said that he feels Interscope lied to him and that they never intended to release his album in 2011 and that he feels cheated because of it.
For people who are following the story, some suggestions from fans were that they thought the rapper was actually joking about dropping Interscope and looking for a new label and that they thought the artist should quiet down and work with the record company to get his album released. Nobody is really sure what type of deal the rapper has with Interscope or if he is actually searching for a new record label after the delay experienced in getting his fifth album out to stores on time and when he thought it would be released.
